The PHERAstar Plus HTS microplate reader provides uncompromising sensitivity, speed and dynamic range. This multidetection microplate reader supports endpoint readings as well as kinetic measurements and well scanning. Assay flexibility for fluorescence, FP, TRF, TR-FRET, luminescence, absorbance, and AlphaScreen® measurements in all formats up to 1536 is enhanced by assay optimized optic modules and up to five detection mode specific PMTs. Moreover, sequential dual excitation, simultaneous dual emission and ratiometric calculations are important features for applications such as FRET, TR-FRET, fluorescent polarization.

OPTIMA Microplate Reader Series
The Optimal Combination of Flexibility and Performance

The well-known filter-based OPTIMA series of multidetection microplate readers is designed to handle a wide variety of cell biology, molecular biology, and immunology applications in academic and pharmaceutical research.

All models provide high performance optical filters with advanced optics, light guides, and photomultiplier technology. To enhance assay flexibility the OPTIMA microplate readers feature top and bottom plate reading, well scanning, sixteen filter positions, expanded temperature control up to 60°C, plate shaking, and gas vent connection. They are compatible with all microplate formats between 6 and 384 wells in all measurement modes and cover the full wavelength range (230-900 nm) for both excitation and emission.

Optimized for kinetic assays, the OPTIMA microplate reader can be supplied with on-board ‘smart’ injectors, allowing reagent injection and plate reading simultaneously. Injection speed and timing is fully adjustable within the control software. Kinetic data can be collected at a rapid 50 reading points per second or as slow as one point every 2½ hours.

All OPTIMA readers have been designed with a dedicated luminescence detection system so no choice must be made between a microplate fluorometer and luminometer. They are all certified by Promega for the Dual Luciferase Reporter (DLR™) gene assay.

The OPTIMA series comes with a new version of BMG LABTECH’s established OPTIMA reader control software and completely new MARS data analysis software. The familiar and highly visual OPTIMA reader control software provides limitless possibilities for test set up and is fully compliant with FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11. The well-organized data analysis software – MARS – offers a template manager for building complex data processing protocols and a wizard-guided interface to create easy step-by-step calculations.

All OPTIMA microplate readers can be incorporated into a wide array of robotic systems via DDE interface and the fast loading system. For rapid mid-throughput plate handling, BMG LABTECH offers the Stacker II with an integrated barcode reader.

Modular Upgradeable Microplate Readers with Tandem Technology

The Omega Series is the world's only multidetection microplate reader series with Tandem Technology utilizing ultra-sensitive filter based detection in all detection modes and high-speed UV/Vis spectrometer based absorbance. The innovative Omega microplate readers are capable of capturing a full absorbance spectrum (220 - 850 nm) at a resolution of 1 nm. Read times faster than 1 second per well are possible.

The Omega Series can now read even more demanding assays such as HTRF®, LanthaScreenTM and AlphaScreen®. With DLReadyTM and LanthaScreenTM certified plus status and HTRF®, BMG LABTECH’s Omega microplate readers are the perfect solution for all your microplate based applications.

In addition, the Omega microplate reader series offers a number of outstanding features known from the successful OPTIMA series, such as a dedicated luminescence detection system, top and bottom plate reading, multi-color detection, well scanning, sixteen filter positions, expanded temperature control up to 60°C, plate shaking, and gas vent connection. All Omega microplate readers can read from 6- to 1536-well plates in all measurement modes and its onboard ‘smart’ injectors can be used to initiate kinetics and produce dilution schemes and concentration gradients across the microplate.

For rapid mid-throughput plate handling, a 50-plate stacker with an integrated barcode reader can be added to any Omega microplate reader. BMG LABTECH’s standardized microplate reader footprint and robotic software interface make it easy to integrate the Omega plate reader into all robotic automation systems.

The Omega series of microplate readers will be delivered with a new version of BMG LABTECH’s established Omega Reader Control software and comprehensive Data Analysis Software, MARS. The highly intuitive software provides limitless possibilities for test set up where it is needed, but also offers a “Quick-Start” mode for running routine analysis with just 3 mouse clicks. In MARS, a wizard guides the user through the entire data analysing process. Additionally, a template manager can be used for building complex data processing protocols. Improved robotic integration capabilities, digital signature and 21 CFR part 11 compliance of MARS complete this new software package.

Designed for cell-based assays and a whole lot more, the NOVOstar microplate reader provides both fluorescence and luminescence measurements in addition to the flexibility of an on-board reagent pipet.     Incubator Shaker THERMOstar THERMOstar
    Intelligent Microplate Incubation

    The THERMOstar is a high performance microplate incubator and orbital shaker which accommodates up to four microplates. Microprocessor-controlled heating plates above and below the microplates ensure uniform incubation (< 1.0°C variation between any two wells) and excellent temperature accuracy up to 56°C. Temperature, shaking speed, and incubation time are fully programmable via the keypad, while the status parameters are displayed on the LCD in real time via an easy to use interface.

    The Stacker II is a modular attachment that can dramatically increase your plate throughput with your BMG LABTECH microplate reader. The Stacker II can be attached to the PHERAstar Plus, RUBYstar, POLARstar, FLUOstar, LUMIstar, SPECTROstar and NEPHELOstar microplate readers and will automatically feed up to 50 plates. The Stacker II offers barcode reader capability, continous load feature and is a practical mid-throughput solution for laboratory automation.
